^my reaction (generally) when I read history books^

All I do when I look at history is wonder, WHAT THE HELL IS EVERYONE’S PROBLEM?!

Although I love people individually…

It is not that hard to realise you’re not going to win a war with bayonets when the enemy has tanks, or that is may be a better idea to let the Vietnamese just rule their own damn country- yes they may become communist, but every communist country is not embroiled in some plot to take over the world-we’re too selfish to want to try and work together to take over and share the world. Besides, everyone was more interested in sorting out the own affairs than trying to take over people.

Humans may be complex and have a lot of intricacies and idiosyncrasies, but as a group we are NOT that difficult to deconstruct.

But, WHY must you get involved in someone’s drama, when it is obvious that getting more countries involved is not helping? Vietnam and Taiwan just wanted to rule their own damn country, so why can’t you just butt out?

How about we all decide to mind our own business, and just play nice and trade with each other? Oh that’s right, because human nature and life dictates that nothing can ever be in harmony for more than a few moments. Humans are essentially selfish, and don’t bring up Mother Theresa or someone- the woman was selfish in a way:she wanted to make HER world a better place and help people, which co-incidentally gives that warm fuzzy feeling.

Was she wrong to do so?

No. Am i saying Mother Theresa is a baddie? Of course not. I simply believe that as human we are an imperfect race, and one of the core elements in our nature is self-centered views and being selfish. We only want to do something if it will benefit us in some way. We should all be more selfish for the betterment of our world: be selfish because you want people to get along, be selfish because you want everyone to have equal rights. Be selfish because you object to people getting killed unnecessarily.

I just wish everyone in the world could come together and eat a cake of rainbows and sunshine, and just trust, believe, and learn to love their fellow human beings. We are an imperfect race, but there are a lot of things we could do to better ourselves.
